SCB, no more exemption from facial recognition in app
It seems like they are saying they have implemented the face scan system for foreigners now too. The email was sent in English, to foreign SCB account holders, so it is not aimed at Thai people. I don't use any of the three functions indicated in the email that it says a face scan will now be required for, so, no, I haven't gone to the branch to do it, as I have no need for it at this time. I never transfer 50K Baht out of the account in one transfer, nor do I ever transfer out more than 200K Baht total in a day. Unless you require either of these 2 main functions from the app, then there is no need to do the face scan at all it seems and one can just forget about it. It all depends on what your needs are with the app. -
