In the evening of September 1the thieves visit our house and we missed a lot. Two Notebooks, I-pod, fotocamera, money, creditcards etc. One of the notebooks, a Apple I-Book G4, belongs to our son how died two years ago. I'm not only pissid off but all so very sad. For this one I cannot buy a new one! For the new owner it's a old Notebook, 5 years old, and the DVD writer doesn't work, but for me a very special item. Please when somebody hears something about Macbook, Sony VAIO, I-pod, photocamera Panasonic, let me know!

sorry for your misfortune to happen. You might look into info for internet tracing your labtops, no guarantee but I've heard stories of people getting there labtop back that way.

Hello ,i am also sorry to hear of your misfortune.I was in big C today and remember seeing an Apple for sale advertised on the noticeboard on the covered car park side.Im also pretty sure it also stated that the dvd drive was not working,i was just glancing so can not be 100% sure,but worth checking out,best of luck.Mark.

I've been there today at bigC and there is a small computer "shop" and they are selling a Mac G4 for 23 thousand, i was curious why so cheap. You can check maybe your laptop, its near the 3 atms at the ground floor...

I seen that G4 (the one mentioned in past post can't be sure if its the thread starter's one) the other day at Toomtam store in Big C, but at 23,000 (£450 ish) it wasnt cheap and I am almost certain the piece of paper covering it with spec and mention something about the DVD drive not working. I do remember because I thought what a rip off, there was a women enquiring and being the nosey bugger I was listening to guy upselling it, I wanted to go over and tell her how much she was getting ripped off. It wasn't there a week prior neither.
