barrybankruad
It appears that any evidence was conveniently covered up, 'Thai style' Initially there were reports of seven containers. After much procastination an 'investigation' was supposed to be launched. However the ONE container located had to be checked for any 'toxic' substances that may be found. This took weeks, time enough for the 'other' containers to be lifted and dumped in deeper waters. Needless to say the container 'examined' was empty. kurnell
I'm starting to lose confidence in the Thai authorities' ability to deal with these important issues.

The Thai authorities should crack down on empty containers.

If you knew anything about offshore salvage and what a close network within it exists in the Gulf of Thailand you would know what a ridiculous statement that this. There is no way they could have lifted 7 containers from the bottom without anyone knowing about it. What actually happened is they finally organized an ROV to go look and every Thai TV channel was there for the live broadcast. Does anyone remember Geraldo Rivera and Al Capone's Vault? Pretty much the same thing. TH
