Moveing Back To Thailand But Want To Bring Back Key Board

Featured Replies

Moveing back to Thailand my wife (Thai) wants to bring back her key board, it is not new. Will she be asked to pay import duty on arrival at the airport. It's not worth that much and I could buy a new one there if they are going to charge silly money.

Or should we post it with some clothes and mark the package as personal effects?

Whether tourist or resident. you are permitted to bring one musical instrument with you duty-free.

This what I did

I have a golf overbag that you would put a full set of golf clubs and bag inside for flying.

(I had already brought out my clubs time before)

This time I had a driver that I had bought and put it in my overbag, it flopped about so to stiffen it up I put my full size yamaha keyboard inside and brought it out to LOS.

They said nothing in London, when I got to swampy and changed for phuket, they sent me to oversize with a baggage ticket.

It went down the scanner, they guy just glanced at me and let it go on its merry way.

Thinking of doing same to bring out some 24v battery drills and tools next time.

Wish me luck, if they confiscate them then no worries.
