Small Daytrip Around Rayong 16th Sep. 09

Featured Replies

I started off driving route 3 from Rayong towards Klaeng, then took off at 3142 and continued on 3320.

The 3320 is a nice roads, with some hills and twisty bits and nice scenery, and there are a huge number of take offs from this road going around everywhere.

This time I turned towards Brookside Valley, on the way up there were some nice hilly and twisty bits with no traffic.

Then ride around Brookside and not in takes you on a pretty neat road with no traffic at all.

The day trip was great, a light drizzle in the mountains but dry everywhere else. Enjoyed the scenery and had a great time.

Cheers Bard

Nice one Bard.

Looks a great ride and wish I could get get out there.

Not so easy for me to do these rides now.

2 kids and one has a severe mental disability.

Plus I got no bike which dont help :)

Apart from the wifes Fino but that is not a bike is it?

Like the Fazer but not sure about top box mate.......my thought only.

Great photos ,,,thanks.

Looks like you lucked out on the weather there Bard. :)

I would love to take the PX175 up those logging trails.

Bard did you know a UFO had landed and docked it's self to the back of your bike? :)

Great pics Bard

Does the top box make your bike handle very differently when loaded?

I need some luggage space, but the weight high up and far back have stopped me from topbox so far

hi bard,

very nice pics...have to agree the topbox does something to the looks of your bike....did you try to use a Tankbag? Better location of weight , better looks and it is easily unmount.

I love the top box, it takes 46 liter, sit dead steady and does not affect riding in normal speed at all. It's easy to lock, takes heavy rain and keep it dry. When you arrive, push a button and it comes off right up t the hotel room. You can lock 2 full face helmets there. I use it a lot. Maybe not pretty but extremely practical, tank bag, on and off for fuel, scratch paintwork... Been there done that... No the top box rox...

There were a light drizzle in the mountain, did not get wet but needed to take more care on the road. Would be much better if it was sunny, but at least I had a fun day.

Cheers :)

I like it when Bard and Trent bring their top boxes because they always have plenty of extra room and I can throw my crap in there too :) But for me- I don't really like 'em except for long trips of a week or more.
