When I was in the UK, Onions were very very strong, cutting one up use to send tears down my face.

Here in Thailand they seem very weak and not much of taste.

It is the same with Garlic. Back in the UK I could only use half a Clove of Garlic, it was very very strong, here in Thailand I can use 3 large Cloves and just about be able to taste it.

Does anyone else agree with me on this, and if so, why ? Why are the Onions and Garlic weaker here.
