Hi,

My firefox is in Thai and, although I can read Thai, I can't find how to change to English.

Would I have to maybe redownload?

There shouldnt be any need to redownload and install if your original instalation of firefox was/is english language. What's probably happened is that your computer is set to Thai - check it by clicking on : Start/Control Panel/Regional & Language Options/Regional Options/Standards & Formats and you will see the language setting - IF Thai, change to English, then look below to the Location, again, it should show English in order to not change various programs to Thai (if showing as being in Thailand) including Firefox. This small change will keep the programs the way you want them, in English.

As for your problem right now, follow these steps and you wont have to redownload and reinstall :

In oder to change to English : You need to check a hidden setting. Type "about:config" into the location bar and press enter. This brings up a list of preferences.

Look for "general.useragent.locale" and make sure it is set to "en-US" (or "en-GB" if you use the English-British version). If it is not double-click on it to change its value and then hit enter. Restart Firefox and you will be back to English.

Hope it helps,

@Falcon,

It is very likely the OP is using a Thai localized version of Firefox. The only way to get menus and dialogs to display in English is to install the English version of Firefox. Changing regional settings or the system locale in the Control Panel won't help.

BTW, my regional settings is set to "Thai" and I'm running Firefox (en-US) with menus and dialogs displayed in English.
