how many farang malaysian expats are there?

when i first read your thread yesterday, i tried googling some info for you. but, it's next to impossible to find definitive answers. as far as expat Malaysians, the answer is number 9.

I assume there must be census data somewhere, but whether you will be allowed access to it is another thing. I've heard that the current census data for Thailand is around 10 years old, so that may not help you. Check with the universities, they may be able to help you if you have a good reason for wanting the data.

In Canada I know that it is as easy as contacting Statistics Canada, either by internet or at their main office in Ottawa, but this isn't Canada! :)

how many farang malaysian expats are there?

Not too many I'd guess ( given that farang means a white person and I thought that returnee trolls might know that )
