Looking to buy the above pick up in the near future. Has anyone bought one recently or another similar model brand new from the Toyota dealers? If so what kind of discount did you get off the list price as when I passed by the other week they offered me only 10K off from 806,000 to 796,000 which is pretty pathetic I thought in today`s economy. Does it matter which part of the Country you buy from with regard to discount?

Any info or tips would be great from others with experience.

Cash discount is not normal in LOS, but presently there is a campaign on Vigo at 10k baht.

I searched all over the country to get a 3,0D4d auto 4x4 G 4door.

Price same everywhere like 950k. Free insurance 80%, tax-reg, bunch of freebees like reverse sensor, film Lamina, bedliner, rustprotection, fabric floor mats, wind visors, and finally a 10k baht discount.

Supposed to get it 22 sept, but still waiting

The ultimate deal is usually during BKK motorshow in december

The above mentioned insurance/tax/frebees/discount equals 68.000 baht in cash if I where to purchase it myself. In adition the finance interest is sponsored to 2,75%.

We just ordered a D-Cab 2.5G a few days ago. List price was 719,000, and the salesman soon offered a 10,000 discount. We said we would take it for 700,000, so the salesman disappeared for 5 minutes to consult a boss. Boss answered yes, so total discount off of the list price was 19,000. Isuzu offered 30,000 off their list price, but base prices were higher to begin with.

The hilux is very popular since Toyota totally reegineered and put new design once in awhile though cost almost a million bahts now for one and still selling very well, others simply preserve old design with minor cosmetic touch so Toyota deserve all the profit and if this is allow to continue you see only Toyota showrooms nationwide.

Just look at 1 million truck on the roads and how many of them...all Toyota.Don't be surprise with the secondhand value as well especially the 4x4 double cab models.

You were lucky to get 10k offered as a cash discout id say,the Thais arent used to giving discounts and usually give you a load of extras as an insentive,.they dont likke dealing with farang anyway as we always want to haggle and get a discount whereby the thais just walk in and say "over 8 years please, and where do i sign " !
