Gamboge Resin

I have been asked to get some Gamboge resin produced from a tree in Thailand for biological research as i visit Thailand regularly etc etc

Anyone know where i can get it? apparently amongst other things it was used to dye monks robes the bright orange colour.

It comes inside bamboo in rods I need 2kilos.

Anoyne know the price of it?

The original sample was brought to the labs in the UK by Proffessor W Ollis (Chemistry) I knew him before his death and the person asking me is a colleauge of his. The original sample was bought in a Bangkok Market in 1962 and is now running out.

Any help appreciated I do know some countries require a permit for it but as far as I can see not the UK where it will be brought into. I am also aware not to inhale any dust off it.

I will have letters off the University requiring it and also an import permit.
