Multi-tasking

Conversations in coffee shops sure can get interesting in Thailand.

I met a nice lady recently at a coffee shop.

She invited me over to sit with her as she was "working" on her computer.

It turns out that the conversation centered around the mistrust between men and women in Thailand.

We both defended our own genders and nationalities during the conversation.

Her viewpoint: Foreigners and Thai men very bad. Cannot trust them.

My viewpoint: Thai ladies very bad and cannot trust them.

There was no way to settle this debate or to persuade the other to alter viewpoints.

During our discussion, I noticed that she was chatting online with webcam with a man in Europe.

Then, her phone started to ring off the hook. After 10 minutes, I told her to go ahead and answer the phone because it was

probably her boyfriend and he might be worried about her, or angry later if she doesn't answer the call.

She finally admitted that the man on the phone was her current boyfriend and they just bought a house together. The man on the webcam was

another 'friend' that was sending her money.

We finished up our conversation as she had another "appointment", but she told me to trust Thai women.

One thing is sure.....every time my phone rings, I always answer it and if I am near or with a Thai woman, the automatic response is "OH". You have your wife or lady.

Funny thing is, I am single.

The point of this topic is that many Thai women are great at multi-tasking.
