This is something that has been on my mind for awhile and would like to get some feedback on whether such a thing is workable.

What I am getting at is a Sat or Sunday afternoon event somewhere for all those who love good food and would like to mingle.

Before digging too many holes to fill, the idea is to keep this simple yet enjoyable.

Have no idea where or when this would happen in Bangkok at this point, what would be required in terms of permits or logistics but I for one would be willing to get involved, bring my bbq and get the ball rolling if there is interest.

The idea would be similar to that of 4th of July party the US folk throw but smaller in scale, more manageable. A few of us in the food forum can handle the cooking part, perhaps there are a few TV entertainers to entertain us???

Anyways, just looking for some feedback on this to see the interest level.

Well Gerd, while I appreciate the ambiance said parking lot does offer (especially in the evening), me thinks we should aim for something a bit more in keeping with the spirit of charity - besides, thinking this would be an afternoon thing.
