ihightower Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Hello, I have bought 2 Second Hand Vehicles in Bangkok last month. Toyota Vigo 2005 and Fortuner 2005. Now, I would like to Export these vehicles by Sea to Tanzania. I was asked to get a "Road Worthiness Certificate" in Thailand from the Tanzanian Contact. Please provide me with the following information. 1) How to get a "Road Worthiness Certificate" in Bangkok. Has anyone done this before? Costs? 2) What are the other required formalities in Exporting the Car from Bangkok? 3) What is a Typical Cost for such Exports (by Sea) from Bangkok? Yes.. I understand it may differ day to day and from one country to another.. All I require is just an idea from someone who has already gone through this. 4) Any contacts of reliable and reasonable Freight Forwarders who does this service? 5) Any other useful comments from persons who has already done such an Export to any country. Thank you.
raro Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 for the shipping, ask the friendly forum sponsor....

Maybe this might help, I only know them because I advertised a bike I had for sale on their site, but they also handle new vehicles for export out of Thailand, apparently free of any taxes, so they might be able to tell you what is required for your cars. http://www.expatmotors.co.th/
