Bkk Visa Processing Hours

Featured Replies

I'll be arriving at Bangkok international airport at around 23:45, will I still be able to get my Visa at that time? if not what's the best thing to do?

Thanks ahead.

What nationality passport are you using?

Most people have a visa prior to travel or obtain a visa exempt entry stamp on arrival for a tourist stay of less than 30 days.

Only about 15 countries are allowed to buy a 15 day visa on arrival. But that office is open 24 hours a days if you are one of them.

If you have visa or visa exempt entry status you go directly to immigration desks and get stamped there.

Hi,

I am British. I only want to stay for the 30 day duration, so does this mean all I need is the stamp? If so can I get this stamp at any time?

Thanks again.

You will have to go through immigration desk to get to baggage claim and customs. Immigration open 24/7

You must have an airticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival to qualify for 'visa exempt' entry and be able to provide at the airline check-in. If you do then no problem; your passport will be stamped with 30 day permission to stay on arrival in Thailand at immigration counter. Otherwise you would need to apply for a tourist visa at embassy/consulate before you travel.

Yes you will get a normal 30 day visa exempt stamp on entry - you fill out the arrival card and hand to Immigration with passport - they return passport with the stamp and departure page of the arrival card - on exit you return the departure card. Airport is 24 hour operation and has many flights at midnight or after.

Thanks very much for you help. One more question...

I have a return ticket to Japan but it's not an actual ticket but an itinerary as this is all the airline issues. Will this be sufficient?

Thanks!

If it what you would use to check-in then that will be fine.
