Hypothetically speaking, if I were to father a child with a Thai woman, in Thailand, could I get my child US citezenship while in Thailand, and hopefully, at birth? I know any child born while in the USA is automatically a citizen, but lets say that isn't an option or is at the least a very undesirable option.

I spoke to a Dutch expat here who was able to get his son a dual Dutch-Thai citizenship fairly easily, from within Thailand, what is the process like for Americans?
