Neil Harris is possibly the best player in the first division. That is not because I'm a Millwall fan.

Well, "possibly" is the better adjective. Although I don't expect that you will have seen too many other teams this season to judge ? I don't know who compiles the weekly Div 1 team But ColU sometimes have two players in it , can't say that I've noticed Harris in it though. But to be fair, I rarely take notice, except when the local paper draws my attention to the fact that there are U's players there. But I don't doubt that he is a good player.

Harris will upset a lot of defences this season. Including Colchester.

Remains to be seen. But don't dismiss Boothroyd's tactical nous. He's a pretty good manager.

Oh yes. How's your season going HH?

Hopefully ColU will inflict a good beating on Saturday. Third place , and pushing ... :D

Strange :) i always thought you were a hammer, funny how things change :D perhaps i got mislead by the name.

I thought Happy Hammer would have had the decency to bow out gracefully and take all his "racism" accusations with him. He objected strenuously, calling me "inflammatory" and/or something similar when I described celtic as "Sporting Club Sinn Fein", and then shortly after that a celtic fan came on with "tjocky ar la" (forgive the spelling), which is the IRA slogan and translates to "Our day will come". Strangely HH was silent.

As I mentioned to Geekfreaklover , I posted a well received thread after Curbishley walked/was pushed -- that those around at the time will probably remember-- why I finally separated from West Ham and my contempt for the way Premiership football had gone beyond the pale as far as I'm concerned. It actually pained me for quite long while after making that decision. :)

I now like better going over to watch a local, little club with a small fan base. Far less arrogant , friendlier and not so far to travel. Although give me a day out at a cricket match any day.

Maybe I'll think about changing my user name when I think of a better one. :D

I've no idea what you're talking about , what tjocky ar la means and most importantly who you are. But whoever and whatever, you certainly seem to hold a grudge for an unhealthily long time -- if what you say is true. I'm tempted to advise you to go and get a life quite frankly.

However, I would consider calling Celtic, Sporting Club Sinn Fein, as being bigoted and sectarian. So that bit at least is accurate.

I was always led to believe that once you supported a club it was for life and any bad decisions made by the football club were part and parcel of football, West ham were obviously never in your blood like they are with a lot of supporters for you to desert so easily.

Let's hope that Colchester don't make any rash decisions with their management overwise you could be looking for your 3rd club to support .

As for a new user name, i'm sure a lot of people on here could think of something appropriate.

You do remind me of being a sheep -- personified by "led to believe". In any case, I know of plenty who've left bigger clubs to go and support lower league and non-league clubs. And even formed their own in some cases. But your knowledge wouldn't extend that far I realise.

Let's hope that Colchester don't make any rash decisions with their management overwise you could be looking for your 3rd club to support .

As I've said , your knowledge doesn' really stretch very far. Colchester and clubs like them aren't in an position to make rash decisions. In fact small clubs lose -- and have lost -- good managers and players , on an all too regular basis. Not the other way around.

As for a new user name, i'm sure a lot of people on here could think of something appropriate.

Not very predictable are you . Fortunately, those who don't have the same infantile mindset, have far greater articulacy, and are better adjusted people wouldn't entertain any such crass suggestions that your embarrassingly mediocre imagination would undoubtedly conjur up. That is, the far greater majority who post on this forum and have done for years.

You'd do better finding someone on your own limited level to try and belittle is my best advice. Toodle-bye

Who's trying to belittle you, i just said something appropriate and you obviously took this as getting negative feedback and not being too complimentary.

Now why would you think this :)

For you appropriate would be most intelligent people's inappropriate. You just can't take the hint can you.

I will try and make it as simple as I can:-

1) I posted calling celtic "sporting club sinn fein".

2) You posted that this was "offensive/bigoted/ inflammatory" etc.

3) A celtic fan comes on a few posts later with "tjocky ar la", i.e. "our day will come", which is the PIRA/sinn fein slogan. This rather illustrates and proves my point, and leaves HH with egg on his face (or it would if he had the faintest idea what he was talking about).

HH let me explain what is common knowledge to everyone but you, the ethos behind celtic is Irish Republicanism, and here the word republican refers to what they euphemistically call "the armed struggle", to wit shooting people in the back and planting bombs. However they have conned much of the world into believing that they are a simple non-sectarian (?) Roman Catholic club.

By the way this is not a grudge that I hold, but I do tend to remember when people express strong opinions on subjects they obviously have very little knowledge of. And to be called bigoted and sectarian by somebody who does not know what he is talking about, and who in the process is himself suborning bigotry and sectarianism does stick in the craw.

Get a life? Now let me see, yes I know I'll try living on 30,000 baht a month and work 5 or 6 days a week for the privilege, that's the way to live.

I've still no idea who you are , nor want to. Except to say that you're obviously a pretty mean underarm bowler . :)

But tell you what clever boy. Why don't you go and post your bigoted drivel on the Celtic thread . Now jog along. Cheers

Puffer Jackett aint too bad either.

Colchester play good attacking football. Best of luck for the season.

But I thought I'd just proved it's you that's the bigot.

Anyway enough of this merry banter, time to take the dogs for their evening constitutional.

And good luck to Millwall, I stay In SE14 when in London.

Did you see or hear it mate ? I listened on BBC Essex. I really thought that the draw would be a result at the end. Your goalkeeper sounded very suspect in the first-half. And I think that Harris had about three shots on target all match. To be fair though, Millwall were a transformed side in the second-half. Although we rattled the bar and had chances too. But it was a disappointment losing. Two good sides as the commentator noted.

Best of luck for the season.

Cheers. You know I have the oddest feeling that if ColU don't blow it post Christmas , then we may meet again after the home match, i.e. in the play-offs. Could happen. Sooner you than MK Franchise, and that's for sure.

Well you know how animals hunt. Get a sniff and they're all over what they think could be easy meat. By definition, text book forward blocking strokes and the occasional cover-drive for me. :)

Anyway, onward to the potential banana skin at Bromley in the Cup match on Saturday.

Well I listened to on a south london station so we probably listened to two different games, but the stats indicate we were the better side in the second half had more shots on goals, corners etc.

Harris didn't have a good day. Our best players were Hackett and Dune, on the right. A lot of crosses came in, but we couldn't get on the end of them. Our new non-league signing Morrison has found the net more no more than once this season. On loan James Henry from Reading scored the winning having been subbed.

The ref had a bad game. Many decisions went the visitors way. You boys hit the cross bar on the 90 plus minute and seconds later Henry put away the free kick.

A draw would have been fairer, but we will take six points from Colchester and Leeds in the last two games. Cheers.

I used to live in Bromley. Glad I don't anymore. :)

Agreed. I didn't suggest that you weren't. Only that we had chances too. Like when Wordsworth rattled your bar from 25 yards out, almost exactly the same position as you scored your winner from.

Our best player was Danny Batth, a defender. which says something in itself. Maybe it's a bit telling that it wasn't too long after he went off injured that you scored. Albeit from yet another dodgey refereeing decision.

To tell you the truth , I don't even know which side of the river it's on. I think Kent, maybe ? Going to phone them up anyway to check on their facilities. If any.

London borough of Bromley, but I think it's kent council. - Lewisham - Catford - Downham - Bromley. You may want to go via Swanley / Orpington if going through Dartford.

I think the ground has a roof over it. Thats about it as far as facilities last time I went.

Cheers. But if I do go, it'll be on one of the coaches. Only £12 and no hassles.

Wimbledon in peace, and I can't wait for Monday night, roll on the game

Yes. We are looking forward to entertaining the real Wimbledon. Apparently 2.5k away supporters. We have opened the bottom tier of the away end (which is a rare event), should be a cracking game.

Be fair it's on a Monday. 5k.

But the question is - will be able to police and control them?

Surprised me talking to one Bromley supporter who reckoned that Wimbledon AFC have the "nastious away supporters" who've been there. Was even a stabbing inflicted by one of them on a Bromley supporter outside of the ground apparently.

Things must have got pretty mean in the Conference South last season. Only passing on what I was told.

Firstly, apologies, i thought it was at Millwall hence my little dig at the Greeko but secondly, anyone with half a brain knows what a typing error is when they see one..

But then again, anyone with half a brain wouldn't name themself on a Forum after a bunch of overgrown Shrews that live in Burrows in SW London.. :D

Millwall 4 AFC Don 1

Listened in on the radio. The away Dons fans were making some noise, even though they felt the need to copy our songs ...no one likes us.. etc... away fans a lot louder than home fans....Good on em.

Just watched the goals. First Neil Harris Goal was well taken half-volley from a Morrison flick. A belter from Schofield and a brace from Afroman Jason Price. The Wimbledon goal was set up by a slick back heel movement.

Bring on Staines (ahem)
