Help Nedded For Wedding

Can anybody help us out. Me and my good lady are getting married soon. Rather than go to bangkok. we would like to get married at the resort where we are having the the evening party. We have both agreed on a falang wedding. But cant seem to find anyone to come out and marry us. we are in Rayong only 40 minutes from pattaya. and can arrange transport. So any help on this would be great.

What's a Farang wedding?, Im a farang and we just went to the local registry office sat for 15 odd minutes, walked out ate a 600 baht meal with two friends and that was it. Total cost...................... 600 baht as far as I could see. Personally I thought 600 wa s a bit O.T.T but the wife seemed happy!

Farang wedding is where you spend an average of 20000USD like 660000bt for a wedding that has a 95% chance of ending in a divorce just to have face.

Would that be a minister of religon - as Catholic priest or other christian dinomination, or are you just looking for the relivant authorised gov official (?) - and in both cases, you would be willing to pay professional time & travel expenses(?).

If your answer is "Yes" - drop me a private message - I can put you in touch with both a christian minister of religon and gov official - both happy "to travel to marry" - but there are reasonable pro fees associated with travel & their time.

Chantaburri has a Catholic church and a prodistant church (can't recall the denomination). That is just down the road a bit from Rayong.

Just have a village ceremony , give a party with lots of localy made food , cases of a good beer and of course the obligatory supply of Whisky , make a whole host of locals happy and gain a lot of respect and face for your future visits . Do not try to impress by dressing like a Thai , nor look down on those who may join in , the money would be far better spent by buying thing such as school books for the children . children have long memories .
