In an effort to redeem myself I have a sensible reply... I don't know why I was tickled by the title but it was funny at the time.

Anyhow, they CAN be grown in Thailand and the vines can be found here, I did a Google search typing in Growing vanilla beans Thailand and a few links popped up.

Truth be known I laughed myself silly, an idea my nephew has to come here and make his fortune. I told him I would follow up. so I did. There is a local botanist (wonder how you spell that) I spoke with him today he recommended against it, it was better to do that in the Philippine. Because the labor here was to high, go figure. Of course as he put the calculator into action, he came up with all kinds of spices that would do well, especially those he had already developed.

The information that I have seen so far does spell labor intensive and very short time frames to get pollination done. On the other hand the bean is so exspensive he nmght just be onto something here.
