Western Style Food And Indian Curry From The Local Village Market!

Yes, it's true! So long as your GF or wife has a good sense of smell and creativity. When we lived in Samui, I had a favourite Indian eatery. My GF said, "I can make it just the same when we live in Isaan." And she can - she '"guesses" the ingredients and comes up with fabulous vindaloo and Madras curry. Ok, we have to cheat a bit on the roast beef because we don't have an oven. But slowly bbq'd beef joint in foil, mash and jacket potato, fresh veg and gravy created from stock cubes, flour, HP and Worcestershire sauce and her "secret ingredient" is mouth-watering. And the beef stew with all the trimmings. Wow! Liver, bacon and onion casserole with mash. Yummy. She has mastered a brilliant chilli con carne too. I'd also take a bet that her spicy KFC-style fried chicken is a medal winner.

Yes, I love Thai food, but she insists on doing a western dish at least once or twice a week. Not bad being in the middle of nowhere, miles from bars and eateries.

Sorry, no home delivery available at this time.

Only at home - not a commercial venture! The GF just shops around for the ingredients. Maybe one day we'll try it commercially.

You would definitely find patronage from the poster who regularly writes of his disappointing visits to the Sak Nak eateries. I hope he reads of your delights. I make similar dishes 100km east of you just to make a change from Thai food. Wifey also eats most things. Plenty of spices available from Makro and great Na Gae shin beef to make pies.
