rott
Walked past the bar last Saturday night and it looked quite busy. Also later on had a curry at Neeroys and that wasn't bad at all. Michaelaway
Not 100% sure about this but... There's some talk going around that Crazy Dave is actually in Paris on sabatical, having agreed in principal with L'Ecole (Gastronomie) de Cordon Bleu on a temporary, guest instructor contract to teach 2 special courses at the venerable institute. The first course, Ambience, who needs it? will be held on M, W & F and already has a full sign-up list; enrollment is now closed. The second course, to be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays, is called Here, eat this! Adventures in deep-frying. There are three open spots at the time of this writing (the 3 chairs closest to the fryolator). It is now clear that this shining example of Pattaya culinary excellence is finally receiving the international acclaim he so truly deserves, so let's all wish Dave bon chance in Paris. Haggis en croute, anyone? Bangers au vin? Edited November 6, 2009 by soundman No need to quote the OP for first or early replies.

syd barrett
At first (several years ago now), Crazy Daves was O.K. I used to eat there sometimes and meet up with some drinking buddies there, then the atmosphere seemed to sour. There were a few 'incidents' (do a search on this forum) and then the place became a bit of a local joke. There are so many alternative bar/eateries now in this area. P.s I actually on my trips to patters eat there but been a while hence the reason for the post Nope, not dead... People just got tired of writing about the same tired old bull ship. There are too many other places to eat with better food and you don't have to put up with an assho*e. People are voting with their feet and not willing to put up with his sheit. syd barrett
There was actually a discussion at Pattaya City Hall whether to change the name of the soi (Chayapoon) to (Soi Crazy Dave). The motion wasn't carried.
clitty
I saw Dave a few days ago sitting at his bar - I am unsure however if he was alive as he did not move and looked like a corpse.

crudy21
I was in Cantebury Tales about 4 weeks ago and the Dave from there was secretly filming Crazy Dave's ranting through the foilage! I bet he can tell a tale or two of his own!
