Uk Passport Renewal & Existing Thai Visa

Hi, just wondering what the deal was as i have to renew my UK Passport but it has an existing Non O within it & i'm not sure what the proceedure would be to either get it added to the new Passport.

Does it get scrapped, do i have to go to Thai Immigration with the new Passport or will teh UK Embassy assist me with it & point me in teh right direction ??

Any help will be appreciated & thanks in advance..

After you receive your new passport you will need to go to Immigration who will transfer your permission to stay stamp to your new passport. There is no charge but photo copies of old and new passport will be required and a one page form will have to be filled out. Your visa cannot be transferred as is not issued by Thai immigration but by Thai embassy/consulate abroad. Whilst your visa remains valid, you would need to travel using both passports until the visa expires.
