Hotel By The Hour

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be travelling to Phuket in January. During this visit, I'll be doing an overnight tour to the Similan Islands. Unfortuntely, due to an oversight on my part, I'll be coming back on a late flight the same day as the end of the tour. This means I do not need to book a hotel to stay overnight. However, this will also mean that I won't have the chance to shower and freshen up before my flight.

This is not a huge deal, but I was wondering, since I have the time anyhow before my flight, if any knows of a hotel where I can check in just for an hour or so to take a shower. I imagine that hotels by the hour would cater to a certain sort of, um, tourist, so I'm also looking for a CLEAN place!

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Yikes, good luck with that one! I am definitely no expert on Phuket hotels, but I think it would be really difficult to find an hourly hotel that you're comfortable visiting alone. How much are you willing to spend? I was in Phuket last year and stayed in a very clean, decent hotel for about $30/night. Maybe you could just look for a really cheap hotel and then check out early? Or, I wonder if there are some public showers you can use. Train stations often have them.

Yeah, I figured that there would be no place, but thanks for your reply! I know that there are a lot of cheap hotels in Phuket, so I guess we'll have to check into one.

You don't say where your boat is dropping you off. If its at the marina I think they may have showers there which you can use on your return.

Why not just go to a gym/fitness center? 150-200 baht for a day pass.
