One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit Center to move on January 4, 2010

BANGKOK: -- Secretary of BOI announced the closure and relocation of One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit Center from Rasa Tower 2 to Chamchuree Square floor 18. This building is located at Samyan intersection on Payathai and Rama 4 junction. And along the process of relocating, the office will be closed on December 25, 28-30, 2009 and will be open on the 4 of January 2010.

Meanwhile, should you have any urgent matter on visa extension during the above mention closure period, kindly contact Bangkok Immigration and Government Center B , Chaengwattana Road

great news they actuallly moved it somewhere easier to get to

Yup - about a kilometre east of Hualampong rail station and on the "easy" route to Siam Square from there

Anyone know yet if there's parking available? That was one benefit of the old location - loads of parking (and a great little coffee shop right outside the door).

Foggy

There are plenty of parking spaces at Chamchuri Square, and many nice coffee shops too.

It can also be entered directly from Sam Yan MRT station.

Cheers,

Jakob

or you could just park in the parking lot at Hualampong and get the MRT one stop as well

I live in Nonthaburi. Can I do my 90 day reporting at Chamchuree?

I suspect it will not be allowed as you are not in the Bangkok area of responsibility. Nonthaburi has its own Immigration office off of the western ring road for those living there.

Will Chamchuree accept 90 days reports by post from BKK residents, or is that only Chaeng Wattana?

Is there a list of services One-Stop Service Center provides? Is is purely for work permit related issues?

The one stop service center is basically labour office and immigration in one, all things related to those two can be done there, but you have to qualify based on the company you are working for. Most people do not qualify, it is for employees from big companies falling under the Proleum Act / Board of Investment Act / Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Act.
