Maybe - maybe not. If you have a tourist visa you should always do a few days early as you lose nothing and avoid problems. Go there Monday morning.

At NK office 6 years ago, they requested a new income statement issued by my embassy [568km away], even the original one was submitted. Was told remaining days of this extension, is more then enough to fulfill their requirement. Ughhhh I said. Holiday’s inThailand & following that, my embassy closed for 3 days + 2 days for issuer that paper. Anyhow came back there on the last day of my extension, got a loudly 10 min of verbal abuse in Thai language. [she is no longer on the job] !!!!!!!!!

And your point is...? Don’t use your last day for extension business, they do *not* like that. Accordantly to very high level official [who visit NK 3 years ago], 2 – 3 weeks in advance are perfect.

Most immigration offices will accept applications for renewal of extension of stay during last 30 days of permission to stay (Chonburi within last 60 days). There is nothing to stop you renewing on the last day, but it is not advisable in case the immigration officer calls for additional documents. 2-3 weeks before looks a good timeline.
