Music Police

Featured Replies

Bumped into one of the Music copyright police from Chonburi today in San Sai noi, they had been out doing raids, must hard of they have to go that far out to do busts, whilst there the police were all getting their riot gear on and loading into the truck to go somewhere, guessing training for the PM's visit.

If you have a bar, get a microsoft zune and the #15 subscription. You then have rights to every song on their network. I would love to the the look on their face when you flash em that.

is the subscription written in thai as well? otherwise you will getting a dumb look

These people only have a POA from RKT to investigate people playing music that is licensed by RKT, not One stop, these are the two Licenses you really need to play music here in Thailand, Foreign music. One stop do their own raids, but usually only make the bar owner buy a license on the spot where the RKT raids usually result in massive fines of up to and over 100,000 baht.

How much are the licenses, out of interest.

They are based on the seating capacity of the venues, a small bar could be up for around 5,000 for each license, which isnt too much.
