dr_Pat_Pong Posted October 21, 2003 Share Posted October 21, 2003 A Brit posted on here that he was refused a Tourist Visa in Manila. Maybe there was a reason. See what other posters say about the Embassy. There is a Thai Consulate in Cebu and traditionally Consulates are not as tough as Embassies. KevinN Posted October 21, 2003 Share Posted October 21, 2003 Sinbad; I went to vientaine and got my non O upgrade from a tourist to retired O with no trouble and then to BKK after 3 months and got it going and have been there for the renewal twice,seems to be no problem. Went to VTN and get class O visa on basis of retirement - after 3 months extended it in BKK and has been doing (there/BKK) yearly ever since. There can be non sinister reasons not to use yearly extensions for some - money can be tight - spouse might want to use if any in a local bank - may need a night away every few months.
