A friend of mine has just returned to dear old Blighty and sent me this report.

"We made it home ok, but would not recomend ETIHAD airlines to anyone. As we got on the plane they gave us a letter appologising for there poor service and offering a 10% discount on a future flight.... they wish!"

Honestly, I don't know what I am supposed to think about this. Other than hand out a letter offering a discount, you have offered no indication of what Etihad did that might constitute poor service.

Only square ice cubes for the G&Ts (no round ones),Slices of Lemon but no lime,Strawberry jam...sorry no marmalade......

Maybe they are appologising for a less than high service.

Always had very GOOD reports on them.

Did they fly on the 1st of April ?

I have flown Etihad about 10 times, they fly from Gatwck airport which is very handy for me, because its only 20 miles away, also they supply a hotel in Abu Dhabi,and they are cheapest £350 or sometimes less to Bangkok, i wouldnt fly wiyh anyone else !!!

rather Etihad than AEROFLOT, only problem with Etihad is the movies, you have to go by their time table, GULF air is the best cheap airline

As far as I am concerned I would perfer Etihad to ay other airline - the only reason we flew Thai this time was that they had the discounted seats out first and we had to book asap. I would be very interested to find out whatconstituted 'poor service' as I had always highly recommended Etihad for their quaity service and overall excellent value.

Are you sure that it was not on a Phuket Air flight from LGW?
