I have never driven one, but the X3 is kinda old and outdated now. So I wouldn't buy one. I just called my dealer today, and asked about the X1, but he said he doubted that it would ever be produced here, even though the X3 has sold quite good. On the other hand its not that many options in that segment. The new X5 is only import, and too expensive for my taste..

Not a lot of bang for your bucks with the X3, the styling leaves a lot to be desired IMHO.

I own a 325i, same price as an X3 ,but it looks way more stylish.

My Wife quite liked the X3, but I think she really liked the thought of owning the badge, not the car , so I just brought her a new Chevy Captiva.....under half the price of an X3 and way more room as well. :D

Why not consider a Captiva?

They are still quite rare in a land where every third car is a Fortuner or a CRV :)

I don't know what the prices are for X3's here but back in Canada I found them to be overpriced for what you get. The quality for one is terrible on all the newer BMW's and this is especially noticeable on the lower priced models. If you're thinking of buying one to do any offroading you'd be better off buying a Toyota Land Cruiser. The X3/X5/X6 are basically for people who want to say they drive an SUV. If you can get a 3 series wagon here it has just as much interior room and is a much better car.
