Oil / Fluids I Can't Find In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Shell Advance Ultra 2T Motor Cycle Oil (2T injector oil)

The shell stations (2) I went to had other Advance oils but not ULTRA (full synthetic)

MOTUL 710 2T (2T injector oil full synthetic)

MOTUL transoil expert 10w-40 (gear oil for 2T engines)

MOTUL FORK OIL FACTORY LINE (synthetic fork oil)

Very Light / Light / Light-Medium / Medium

Does anyone know a shop that has in Chiang Mai, or will order for me ?

Thanks,

jbeck

Have you exhausted all the Motocross shops in CM?

I have never found Ultra. I use VSX, recommended to me by the engine builder and best we could find but mine is a road bike so I need something widely available. I guess maybe if you are racing, but the oil doesn't stay in the motor long so any benefit from the fully synthetic in terms of retention of viscosity etc. is not so important.

Have you considerd a Yamaha dealer for YamalubeR or I think now it is called Yamalube 2R. I used to use it premixed in karts.(Yamaha). Again only semi-synthetic but...

Don't know but I would think DirtShop in BKK if you haven't tried them already.

If you look around small bike shops in CM you may also find small bottles of Castor Oil. If running injector, add a couple of cap fulls to the tank just for the smell :) A bit poser-ish but...

"Shell Advance Ultra 2T Motor Cycle Oil (2T injector oil)" is 4T Fully Synthetic according to my oils book, & its PTT (& MOTUL 300V) equivalent is Challenger Synthetic 4T 5W-40.

According to my book, Shell do not make a fully synthetic 2T motorbike oil for regular supply in Thailand, only: PTT, Castrol, ELF & VELOIL.

But anyway, my original question is still (mostly?) valid? Thanks.
