Pattaya, December 2 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Just before 4am on Wednesday, Police Leutenant Colonel Pratip from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Pattaya International Hospital to assist a French national who was caught up in a terrifying knife attack on Pattaya Beach Road in front of Soi 5. Officers met Mr. Jacque Cornell from France who had already received medical attention after sustaining injuries to his head, chin, arm and shoulder. Mr. Cornell explained that he was driving his motorbike slowly along Pattaya Beach Road when he met four women who suggested he take them back to his Hotel. He refused which led the women to call over a Thai Man armed with a knife, who proceeded to stab the victim in his shoulder. The women then joined the attack and used their shoes as weapons. Mr. Cornell was taken to Pattaya Police Station to make a report on the attack. Police are now attempting to locate the attackers at this time.

Nearly every day one reads of something dreadful happening in Pattaya. And those who live there trying to constantly defend it. But quite frankly it's a dreadful place now, compared to what it was. It seems to attract the worst type of farangs too. The police appear hopeless. But that's not surprising when they cant even stop a crowd of thugs breaking up an international meeting (Asean). I now tell everyone to avoid it.
