She looks like she could be a shih tzu. Looks like someone lost their dog (or decided this poor little thing was too much trouble and dumped her). Poor thing, have her sterilized even if you don't take her. She can't be having puppies from large dogs over and over, it will kill her.

Seems that the pair belong to a near neighbours friend who was visiting and the "family" went walkabout.

Both now safely with owner

Thanks for the concern and info

Oh good. Nothing worse than a tiny little dog being dumped to fend for itself among bigger dogs. They just don't stand a chance.

Sad dogs and cats get me every time. :)

Well, it looks like the sibling will soon have a new home (only 12 days old at present)

Not knowing much about dogs it looks a bit of a St. Bernard to me.

I'll post again in a years time and see who's sitting on who's shoulders then! :)

well, was it a shitzu? or a larger breed type: like ungroomed poodle? or tibetan terrier which are very similar to lhasa apsos but much larger and sort of furrier, but really look like the pic. st.bernard?!! with a shitzu?!! a very difficult manoever for the male..........

I suspect he meant that the coloring was like a St Bernard. I just dont' see a male St Bernard being able to impregnate a shih-tzu. With Thai dogs, any number of color variations are possible, with brown and white being a common color here.

We had a dog (now lives with my FIL) who is half shih-tzu, half Thai dog. Small size, but note that the flat face characteristic of the breed is the first thing to go
