I find that kind of day to day corruption kind of irritating myself, but then I don't drive, so I'm mostly sympathetic to the drivers. Are the tanks gone now? Are they shelling the elephant building? I checked Rama IV and Sukhumvit and we don't have any tanks, just some tuk tuks and early morning hawkers setting up.

Over the years and the several coups and attempted coups I've been through, I've found that turning on the radio to a Thai station lets me know what's happening, or not.

If they're playing martial music, best to say at home!

I wouldn't worry, these tanks were made in China and can only fire 100 rounds before the gun barrels wilt !

Wow that is alot better then the Pattaya tanks, They seem to be wilted after one shot, that is if they can get the shot off.

Remember to dodge the blue bullets.

It's okay, the army has just probably sold them to North Korea and they're on their way to the airport to catch the plane just in.

Probably just moving them from one base to another. I've been here for three years, and I've heard of regular tank movements in Bangkok the same number of times. Maybe an annual ceremony? Remind the proles of who has the guns?

Maybe they are going to Muang Thon Thani, for the celebrations for HM The Kings Birthday, loads of celebrations going on there, and fireworks.
