Best Thai National Park With Natural Hot Springs

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. so Mods if you need to move it, do so

I have got 5 days off work and have just decided to get out of Bangkok and hit one of the National Parks. I have never been to any of the parks before so I am open to all suggestions.

I will be travelling by car and pitching a tent on the campsite in the evenings. What I really would like is somewhere not too far from Bangkok; say 3 hour drive, that has natural hot springs to soothe all my aches and pains from the football last week.

Thanks

Macanello

hi, the only hot springs i canm think of are at CM and i cant for the life of me remember there name, but someone living in cm will be able to tell you,its a place were there is hot springs, you can buy eggs and hard boil them or just rest your bones in the water, lol,

Sri Nakarin National Park near Kanchanaburi apparently has some.

The main ones near CM are Sankhampaeng but that's a fair way from Bangkok and they're also really touristy. One of the best hot springs in a national park near CM, however, is in Chae Son NP towards the east. Pai also has some but not as good.

There are also well-known hot springs in Ranong, but that is way the heck far from Bangkok. Beautiful area, though. You can stay in a hot springs hotel right in town, they have baths in the hotel itself.

Hin Dat hot springs. Head out to Kanchanaburi, then take the Sai Yok road. Camping is avaiable at Sai Yok national park on the way out. Springs located 130 km from Kanchanaburi on highway 323.

3 hours from Bangkok to Hot springs.

The water is 45 - 55 celsius, and right next to the river so you get to alternate between hot and cold. This hot spring is said to have healing properties.

Massage and foot reflexology available at the springs.

Kanchanaburi has hot springs and the whole area is stunning. I would rent a house boat on the huge lake near Thong Pha Phum. The car can be parked at the place of the owner of the house boats.

From there you can drive to a lot of interesting places or just realx and go for a nice swim. It's very quiet and natural - fantastic.

Day 1) As Lioness and Birdman mentioned head up the 323 to Sai Yok and Hin Dat hot springs is on your right hand side. Go a bit further or before you will find "Green World Hot Spring Resort & Golf Club" on your left. google it. :D

Hot Spring is under the hotel and included in your room rate Free of Charge.

Day 2) After that head up to

I would rent a house boat on the huge lake near Thong Pha Phum.

as Birdman mentioned.

Day 3) Next day head up to Sangkhla-Buri and the 3 Pagoda pass.

Day 4) After that come back down on the road to Kan and take a left turn on 3500 road this will bring you onto the 3199 as 'jackr' wrote and to the 'Sri Nakarin National Park' and visit Huay Mae Kamin Waterfall where they have a proper camp site,

Any more info on renting a house boat would be great thanks?

Price, contacts, how big they are etc...

sounds great, thanks

Another thought is if you do decide to go down to 3 Pagoda pass, about 20 km before is a national park called Pom Pee, on the left as you are heading out. Stunning location, right on the lakes, you can pitch a tent, they have amenities and a nicer spot would be hard to find.
