I can start a topic on this as music affects all of us here in Pattaya. its everywhere ,in bars ect.

'If music be the food of love then play on', music is probally the best thing humans have ever created, it is the worlds number one language, it has no boundaries, has probally been around for longer than we know and will never stop, and unlike television it does not waist your time, it enhances it, through times of joy and suffering music flavours everything.

Back in the ninties i was a big record collector and now have over five thousand albums, promos, white lables, picture discs and twelve inch singles,of nearly every good artist from the 60s,70s,80s,and 90s,from rock and roll to psycheldelic techno all in mint condition and expensive, my show bike plays cassette tape i compiled from my collection [and even music i composed/played on my various keyboards]

You cannot collect C.D.s like you can collect records.

im sure even the 'rude grumpy old men' would agree with me on this , if not then; 'OFF with their heads', the royal glitterman hath spoken.

P.S. bad luck you guys as you may be seeing ALOT more of the glitterman on your damned television sets, if i sighn some international Hollywood based 'release' papers, ill become worldwide globally famous, no longer a big fish in a [deadend] pond, let the world behold the glitterman, welcome to the glitterzone.

So really bad music is better than really good television? Of course such as you wouldn't know what really good tv is because you don't watch it. Or is there no bad music in the same way there are no bad dogs?

Hi Glitterman,

I used to be an avid Beatles collector. Had all their vinyl stuff (I agree CDs are not the same as vinyl). I had virtually all of their output, including many rarities (eg Walls Ice Cream EP, an original mono "Pepper", red label "Love Me Do" and "Please Please Me" etc). However I had to sell the lot when moving to Thailand, as I thought the heat here would destroy them. It was a very sad day!!

BTW Do you know if Beatles records were ever released in Thailand in the 60s, and if so where could I find them?

As this is a music thread, before it gets closed - can I request a "Glitterman" On Bicycles thread...

Then a Glitterman On Baht Buses, followed by Glitterman On Fashion and if you have time Glitterman on Christmas.

How do we really know our Gitterman is the Glitterman?

That said I would like to hear Glitterman on prostitutes over age 50.

eyebee,

one of the few places you will find Beatles vinyl in Thailand is second hand record/cd stores.

There is one at Coco walk beside Ratchatewi bts station in Bkk and another in Seacon square Bkk.

I have also seen new 180g Beatles vinyl Lps for sale in higher end shops in Bkk.

Yep that will get the G'Man closed down in double quick time, all right!

I do agree with G'man that music does not waste your time like television. You can at least get on with something else whilst listening to the vibes.

I have a collection of well over 300 LP's back in the UK and because I treated them like Faberge eggs they are mostly in mint condition. The problems are firstly shipping them out to this part of the world and then buying a new sound system to rival the old one I had. Oh well, that's a project for when and if I ever settle down.

As for television, there's so much <deleted> on it these days it's a bluddy good job they invented the remote. Imagine 52 channels of sh1t on the TV and you had to get off your ar5e every time you wanted to change channel.

If every bar/pub in the world had a television and no music I'd be a confirmed TT. :D

Lucky for me they don't. :)

as this topic is not really Pattaya related but rather applies to all of Thailand I move it to General to give it more exposure.

I believe that capital letters, punctuation, paragraphs etc. are a courtesy performed by the writer for the benefit of the reader. Why would I ever read the musings of anyone who so disrespects my sensibilities?

Probably sounds like creased up newspaper with bells on, is there a torrent download available?

No offence, but how is this Thai related?

Apparently because at one time or another in Thailand we have listened to music.

Ok, got it now. I was in glitter-ignorance. Thought I was on Teak Door or something.

I just didn't want to close yet another thread of our dear Glitterman and moved it here where it rather belongs than in the Pattaya forum.

If you guys feel that it is even for General not enough Thailand related I'm happy to close it. :)

Of course it's Thai related, it's by Glitterman the self appointed super hero of Pattaya. Doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs, doesn't go with wimmin and when he speaks........errr.................somebody listens :) .

I believe that due to cost cuts at City Hall Glitterman is being downrated to Glimmerman. :D

As I have closed other threads here for not being Thai-related, I think I have to do it for this one as well.
