If you don't have a good backup then have at least a last look at your data :)

^ Not entirely true.

If you end up with botched installation, you can always use a LiveCD to rescue your data.

Make a full image of your disk first. If it doesn't work, you can roll back to your previous setup without fuss.

I did a upgrade from Vista to windows 7, Not a problem, EXCEPT, I could not run outlook express for my email so had to install Thunderbird, It's ok but no spell check, still playing around with it, Adobe reader wont reconise the thunderbird spell check going onto windows 7, I'll get it sorted one day
