My Thai son is about to make final payment on mortage with bank on house and land.

Bank manager says bank will provide letter to present to the Land Titles Office (in this case Chonburi City) indicating that bank name should now be removed from chanut and son's name should now stand alone on the chanut as the owner.

Bank manager says it's a simple process at land titles office, but he knows no other details of fees etc.

Would appreciate any comments members can share on any past experience with this process, especially costs, time to process, etc.

Thanks.

Moving this to land/house ownership forum, where it won't get swamped :)
