December 29, 200916 yr "Documents issued in countries other than the U.S. must comply with the local regulations on the legalization of documents and they must be translated into Italian. Such documents and their translations must be submitted to THE ITALIAN CONSULATE/EMBASSY IN THE COUNTRY WHERE THE DOCUMENTS WERE ISSUED PRIOR TO BEING BROUGHT TO THIS CONSULATE." I need to have my Thai Marriage Certificate and my child's Thai birth certificate "certified" with Thailand's equivalent of an Apostille, so that I can then take these documents to the Italian embassy so that they can approve them. Can someone please let me know how to get this certification from a Thai official for my marriage and daughters birth certificate?
December 29, 200916 yr I imagine that having the translations certified by the Thai Ministry or Foreign Affairs (the same office that certified the translation of your affirmation of freedom to marry) would suffice.
