Hey guys, do you know of any electronic online store that ships stuff to Thailand? Most of them I visited only shipped to US and Europe, seldom to Asia, and none to Thailand!

I actually looking to buy a wireless media player

http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp...N82E16882139001

If you know of any one that can help me, please let me know. Thanks.

Cheers,

Eric

Amazon have delivered books here for me before now... (but using a non-Thai credit card). However, I think they're a bit more restricted in where they'll ship electronics. Also, since it's a matter of guesswork as to how much Thai customs will ask for as import duty, are you really sure you want it delivered from abroad. (i.e. For the possible delivery charge + duty, you might be able to get a cheap flight to Japan, where it's available in the shops).

However, I am wondering where you managed to buy an HDTV in Thailand that you want that particular DVD player...

Thanks for the tip, but I don't think Amazon deliver electronic gadgets to Asia. My alternative is to fly down to Singapore, but the question is if the Thai customs will stop me upon re-entrance. How much import duty am I looking at? I'm a gadget guy, always like to shop for new stuff in the market. hehe

BtW this dvd player can connect to any other conventional TV via RCA cables. The cool thing I like about it that I can stream bittorrent movies to my newly bought hi-fi entertainment system. Be a potato couch :o

Do you guys that it'll work out if there's personal shopper service, which is very common in the States, basically you paid the guy whom will in turn purchase the item for you, simply because he got a US CC and billing address, and shipped it back to you?

I've had electronic stuff (bullet cameras and accesories) from http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk in the UK. No customs check on anything I've ordered from them so far

In Thailand, I would recommend http://pantipprice.com and http://tohome.com (check if in stock before ordering) pantipprice.com has been especially helpfull

Central has online shopping, too. You can check their catalogue at http://www.col.co.th/

Thai Customs is being not very keen on checking lately, declared my laptop/ipod/HDD/ etc etc on rrival and went to the red (declare) lane and was friendly showed towards the green lane, could be different if you enter with a stack of original manufacturers boxes

ี้ี้uhuh

Yes absolutely. There are quite a few model w/o DVD in the market. Try http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=318. Personally, I went down to view the live demo. It still got some glitches when trying to stream video via wireless. For this d-link player, use the wired connection.

I'm still trying to find a UK online dealer that would ship my buffalo media player to Thailand. So far no luck :D

What? No Kareoke Microphone ports! What are you thinking? Your other half will kill you (if you have one) if you pay 16000 Baht for a DVD player and it doesn't even have Kareoke Inputs.

They will scoff and tell their friends of how you wasted all that money on a stupid DVD player without Kareoke Inputs. LMAO

Garbage they will say!!

Heheh, what they do they know anyway? We can all laugh inside at their erm whatever it is.

I already own a DVD player, what I really want out of this player is video streaming capability out of any PC box, so I can watch my downloaded movies from Internet. Who needs karaoke, I don't sing anyway :o

short time ago (2 month or so) I saw the customs checking and not only Thai people. A lot of farangs had to open their bags.

I don't know what happend later, because I had a lot of things in my bags and did not want that they look at me :o

with luck they would have opend the bag with the smelling socks and the dirty underwear first :D

normaly I always put whatever I wanted to take just in my bags, never any problems .

Here's a place that offers that service.

wala... i signed up with them few months back when I was working in singapore. One problem is that most of online merchants are pretty stringent with your CC's billing address and delivery address. They must be the same, otherwise they won't sell it to you. They do have a personal shopper service, whereby they will purchase the merchanise using their credit line and then charge it to your card. But this comes with an additional price tag.

Does anyone know if there is an personal shopper in UK? As the power voltage of UK electronic is the same as Thailand therefore dun need to buy power transformer.
