jhwest
Hi Folks First of all A Very Happy New Year to You All I need to renew my British Passport and it expires in March this year. I am plannning to go to the British Embassy later on and is there a wevbsite to download application forms and I am reluctant to send my existing passport away, in case it gets lost. I am led to believe that I need to phtocopy the 90 days stamps in Thailand and I believe it takes 10 working days to renew a passport? Is this right and any other information needed. Thanks all and waht is the fee please.
GarryP
You do not need to photocopy the 90 day stamps. I renewed my passport last year and they were not required. It took about 10 days to get and was bloody expensive, Baht 8,000 plus - I forget the exact figure. I picked up my new passport then shot straight down to Suan Plu to have my extension of stay transferred to my new passport. Obviously, you will now need to go to Chaengwattana to have your current visa/extension of stay transferred.
apetley
I didn't photo copy any stamps for my renewal nor was I asked. Turnaround was a couple of days. I took mine in personally as I was in BKK for a shopping trip but had it EMSd to my home address. Excellent service imo.
