Nice new avatar Totster. That little fishy would be very tasty as a main course before the mangosteen feast.....

Little fishy is a bit small... I could do with a few of them, rubbed in salt and rammed with lemon grass.... :D

Farang (guava) and pomelo, can't be assed with the rest. Do miss raspberries and decent strawberries though.

I dunno the Strawberries I got a early in the year tasted ok.... my wife refuses to eat them though... :o

totster :D

From a healthly standpoint, your wife is smart. In fact, most of the Thai fruits can be quite quite dangerous because of pesticide use. I've personally spent time in the hospital after eating a pesticide-loaded watermelon. I had a doc tell me he recommends never eating Thai oranges, watermelon, strawberries, cantalope...

Ohh dear, looks like I'm the only weirdo here, I love Durian.

I like all thai fruit except that prickly red thing that comes from down south, cannot remember the name now. It is awful.

Dont worry about it Thetyim- each to his (or her) own my wife loves them. I have just had a case load of Fray Bentos pies sent over, I am sure my mate Simbo would say they taste like Sh#t, cause he's 'ad 'em :o So I MUST be a weirdo!

Durian ain't no shit.. it has all the amino acids--The king of Thai fruits.

Mangosteen is said to be the queen, and they go well together. Durians was once notorious for be laden with formalin.

Thai Mango could probably be the tastiest mango in the world.

Jack fruit was my first love...but now I love all....

Tamarind with sticky rice? That's novel!

There's an oversupply of lam-yai and growers are struggling with record low prices--eat them!

I read about a Thai guy that died from eating too much Durian, apparantly it's what's called a 'hot fruit' heats up in the stomach apparantly and according to the article if irememeber it correctly he was not the first.

I also read about a guy died from drinking 50 Tequilas. That I can understand, but just how much Durian do you have to eat before it kills you?

maybee its just a simple case of everything in moderation.

No need to eat Durian with Thai Whiskey to kill yourself, Thai Whiskey can do that on it's own... :D

Actually quite a few years ago there was news of a guy whose willy shrunk right after he ate a watermelon with a lot of pesticide. He was in much pain and had to be hospitalized. I wonder... :o

if you mean salaa, yes it's a bit of an acquired taste. I sorta, kinda like them... but they cause so much physical damage just opening them up (knife and gloves and STILL get scarred), they are hardly worth the trouble... compared, for example, with the easy "twist-off tops" packaging that rambuttan comes with. :o

How Thai-Go Mangosteen Works

Thai-Go Mangosteen Juice contains ingredients rich in bioflavonoids and antioxidants. Bioflavonoids enhance vitamin C absorption and help maintain collagen and capillary walls. Bioflavonoids also help our defense system. Antioxidants scavenge damaging free radicals and benefit virtually every organ and body system. Thai-Go Mangosteen delivers a punch of antioxidant protection with a high ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) value.

Among Thai-Go's key ingredients is mangosteen, a fruit found in the eastern tropical countries, such as Thailand. Mangosteen fruit and pericarp (peel) contain the greatest known supply of compounds called xanthones, which offer powerful immune and cardiovascular support.

Thai-Go Mangosteen Advantage

Nature's Sunshine carefully researched ingredients high in antioxidant activity and selected only the best. In a study conducted by an independent laboratory, Thai-Go clearly outperformed other leading competitors in ORAC capacity (charts a measure of a product's antioxidant strength). Another study showed that Natures Sunshine Thai-Go Mangosteen Juice is three times better in stimulating immune response than its closest competitor.
