Where in BKK are the gay movie theatres? I know one near Saphan Kwai BTS and there used to be one at Phra Khanong but that one is closed or has it moved to another location?

Any busy cruising places in the Thong Lor / Ekamai/ Phra Khanong area?

Any info would be welcome!

Considering that all forms of pornography (AND dildoes, vibrators, [ALL sex toys, really], poppers and Viagra) are illegal in Thailand [go figure...] I'd be rather surprised to find a "gay movie theater" anywhere here.

Discovering this level of sexual suppression (illegality) was my biggest surprise, after moving here 3 1/2 years ago, from America. It doesn't really make sense to me, considering the cultural acceptances and institutionalized pleasures...!!!

Who cares? In the Philippines and even in part of the US, they show straight porns at such places.

There is one across from Robinson on Charoen Krung road. You have to walk along, toward Silom and it's in a soi, tucked away.

The movies are usually any old movie, including a lot of Chinese movies. Nothing of a pornographic movie.

If you have any interest in movies, then I would suggest not going.

The one near S Kwai BTS shows very old and very awful straight drama "B" movies. Some are Thai and some are old, dubbed imports. Very few people are watching the movie. No porn is shown. AFAIK, the public showing of porn is illegal here (logical if you can't show booze ads, and people smoking in movies?)

The place is well-known. All of the local people and passers-by know that it is a gay sex place, despite it looking like normal old cinema. No women or families go in there...although be careful of the ladyboy hookers who hang around on the RIGHT side of the cinema inside.

The whole place is very seedy, and you should never take a loaded wallet or wear your real Rolex. Some of the young "normal gay" guys are also hookers, or will "try" to negotiate if you are farang.

I am not a regular, but I have popped in there!
