Sounds good. I would go with a local generic too. Sounds like a good cost savings. But I would prefer the newer Descovy drug over Truvada. Truvada is known to be much harder on the kidneys. Does the Thai Red Cross in Bangkok also offer a cheap locally made version of Descovy? Also, has your Creatinine level increased much since you started using Truvada 5 years ago? Also, there is an injectible PrEP drug now which is supposed to be more effective than both of those two tablet forms. I don't think the Thai Red Cross offers it, but maybe they do, I think the Pulse Clinics in Bangkok might have it. It is called Apretude (cabotegravir is the actual drug name). I don't know what it costs, but it is two initial shots spread out one month apart and then just one shot every 2 months after that. Apparently much less risk of any kidney damage. -

However, to go as far and mention the this act by 2 police officers as as something that exemplifies the dedication of the RTP protecting and serving the public is a huge stretch. This was the job of two police officers. Besides that we all know how corrupt and unwilling the general force is to act of things. -

They may have been from Butterworth air base, which was Australian air force flying Mirages. No Aussies now, but more than enough ME people to make me want to stay away. All the beaches ruined by huge hotels. Shame when I remembered them from before it was a tourist island. -

Leaving the bar stool ...
Best place I ever found for breakfast was one of the restaurants on the Chiang Mai end of Pai on the road out of town. So beautiful that people just got married had their photos taken there. Not as beautiful as the view from the restaurant near the village I used to eat at. Sunset over the mountains and the ancient paddy fields made it spectacular. Of course no one else on here would know of it so not saying. -

Practicing Dharma in an environment awash with Cannabis?
Well, I am not so sure that is true. Seems like often folks with "years of dedicated practice" are devoted/addicted to the path and not awakening. It don't seem fair, but I suspect the man or woman that took some mushrooms or other hallucinogen and by golly had an awakening experience may learn just as much as the man or woman with "years of dedicated practice". Not always true, I am sure, but I don't discount it. I am not sure marijuana is a powerful enough hallucinogen to bring about surrender, but I don't know. In fact, I don't know anything.
