Are you bored with the place or the culture? Huge difference. I have been here for almost a year and I feel kind of sick of Thai culture.

Agreed, there is a huge difference. All I will say is that I am going home soon, and it is not the place that I am fed up with. I have other reasons too but I sure wont miss too many things about the Thai culture.

I still like Thailand but I enjoy it more when I was a tourist. What I plan to do is to try to visit Thailand like once or more a year. There are still some places I wish to go but haven't.

I've been living in Bangkok for about 4-5 months now and I hate to admit it but I feel a bit bored here

its not only you :)

But maybe its only the location?

For the moment, I live in the Lat Krabang area in a very very quiet mooban.

No direct neighbours, so very little chance to get social contacts here. Here everybody stays for its own.

At early evening time this mooban is so noisy like a graveyard..

Only thing you can do here, is to drink beer and count the airplanes, because this house is near Suvannahbum airport.

Very long distances to the inner city of BKK.

I have a car, but I dont like to drive at night in BKK, especially if I drunk something.

I did all the "tourist things" before, visited Chiangmai for one month etc. (I think, a nice place, but no beach, no sea, in the near surrounding).

So I think to move.

I am looking for nice, quiet place, not too far from anything, where I can meet other people Thai and Farang.

(But NOT like Pattaya or similar)

But I am not sure, another place in BKK (Some people told me, Bang Kapi would be ok)

Some experiences?

Or simply another City?

Dunno, I thought it was the other way around.

The more boring you are the easier entertained you are and thus don't get bored.

Because I am so interesting and experienced in the finer points of life it take a lot to entertain me so I get bored from time to time.

One of the things that I realised very quickly, about living here as a farang, is that most socialising/filling in one's time usually involves being in a bar, of some description, and downing copious quantities of alcohol. After a few years of this a protruding gut is usually what a lot of guys end up with. The bottom line, when you're living in the LOS, is that you can either get fit or get fat. That's it really. Staying fit normally involves staying out of the bars and involving yourself in activities that require physical exertion. The gyms in Bangkok are top notch no dout but sometimes I just get completely fed up with the urban environment and want to see something of the natural environment. About six weeks ago I did a trip down to Khao Lak and it was pretty good. Did a one day scuba trip out to the Similan Islands and it was brilliant. I hadn't dived there for nearly ten years but it the dive sites were still in great condition (part of the national park chain of Islands) and can still be rated in the top ten dive sites of the world. I'm going over to vietnam in a couple weeks to check out the surf sites at Da Nang.
