Lotus Ponds In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can find a temple in Bangkok with a lotus pond? And which month do they flower in Thailand? I mean the sacred or East-Indian lotus, not those water lilies they have at hotels that flower all year round.

I don't know the difference between the types you mention. But there are lots of lotus/water lilly things at wat Boworn (wat bowonniwet - where the SanghaRaja lives)

Thanks. The type I'm after are the tall ones with pink petals rather than violet/blue petals. But I'm told they also flower throughout the year in Thailand. In Japan this type flowers only once a year in August, but August is the only really hot, humid month they have there.
