earlofwindermere
Almost all of the staff at my office came down with the same thing last week.... Tired, sore throat and low grade fever. After about 3-4 days, the fever and coughing start to disappear but we all started getting sores in and around our mouths (ie canker and cold sores) as well as a few tiny red bumps on our bodies. It sounds pretty similar to Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. Can adults get it? Is HFM making its way around the city right now? Anyone else experiencing this? Falcon
Hi, does your staff with animals or animal cadaver/parts etc? Hand, foot & Mouth disease has nothng to do with the foot & mouth disease that is caught by animals, this is a human thing. My Son has had it 3 times over the past 18 months and they closed the school for a few days on one of those occasions as it is very contagious and there were quite a few of the children caught it from school. About 8 months ago my Wife got it, from my son, and suffered quite badly with the ulcer like sores in the mouth and generally feeling very unwell. There's not a lot the doctor can do about it apart from giving the "usual" antibiotics and mouthwash. Not a nice thing to get at all. Hope you feel better soon.
