Hi, welcome to the Teaching section of the Forum. Here is some advice to help you get the most out of this section as a new member investigating the possibility of working as a teacher in Thailand.

First of all, do NOT post a new thread along these lines:

"Hi, I'm Joe Newbie. How do I get some sort of job, and work and live somehow... in Thailand? Am I qualified enough?"

unless you want to be more or less ignored. This question is way too general and you don't give enough information about yourself and your qualifications.

I'd suggest going about things in this order:

1. Read the "Questions About Qualifications" Thread, from start to finish.

2. Read the "Red Tape For Teachers" Thread.

3. Read the "Job Interview Checklist" Thread.

4. Read the "What I Would Tell My Administration" Thread.

Then you will have general picture of the things you need to know to start asking questions and making some kind of plan for yourself. Then you can post in an educated manner giving us enough detail to make answers smaller than 1000 pages that might be useful to you!

Good luck!

"Steven"

P.S. Ken, think we can try making this a sticky again?
