Visas For Various Se Asian Countries.

Hi there.

I've been searching on the internet for this information but I keep going round in circles. I'm in Thailand at the moment and intend to leave for Laos in the next week. I understand that you can obtain a visa for Laos on the border... but what about Vietnam, China and Japan? Do I need to apply for a visa in Bangkok before traveling there or can you get them on the borders of the respective countries (or is it possible to get them in Laos?)

The thing is that I'm currently in Pai, so if I can avoid traveling all the way back down to Bangkok than that would be ideal.

You can get a VOA for Laos at the Friendship bridge Nong Khai ,then a visa at the Cambodia border for Cambo but you need to get a Vietnam visa at the Embassy in PP or the Viet consulate in Sihanoukville, I am pretty sure China visas can only be obtained at a Chinese embassy outside China ,I got my last China visa at the Consul in Chiang Mai.
