Best place to buy consumer electronics is Bangkok. For "big ticket" items like a new laptop, I go to regular malls, they all have the same chains, eg Banana IT or IT City. Or I just visit BigC/Lotus. For a new phone, if you know exactly which phone you want, it's NASA on the 4th floor of MBK (most other shops in MBK are of ill repute). Prices not much cheaper than in many western countries, but Thailand often has a cheaper selection of products that are not for sale in eg Switzerland. Lazada/shopee can be very good value, but also sell a lot of fake stuff. For cheap accessories, cables, USB hubs, no-name blue tooth speakers etc, it's Fortune town. Much cheaper than in the West. -

Yes, I made an assumption and it was wrong. I think if people didn't get it it is most likely due to not having alerts enabled. But again that's an assumption, and as I don't have good form in this thread with assumptions I will stand down. Carry on!
