Hi, I've had a marriage Non-O visa for two years on the basis of my wife's income; I do work as a teacher but can't get a WO due to my lack of a degree. I believe now I have to show 400,000 in an account for 3 months but I can't see how that can happen tbh. Does anyone know if I return to the UK in April if I'd be able to get a one-year visa in Hull? I have a half-Thai daughter also. I'm 44.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, you will get a 1 year multiple non-O visa in Hull. But working without a work permit is very serious. Should you get caught you risk being deported.

There is no need to have a degree for a work permit, although some labour offices make up their own rules.

Thanks for your reply Mario. I'm not so worried about the WO tbh - I work for an agency that 'takes care of things'. It's just a pain that I have to rely on my wife (who right now is not too inclined to help...).

Any idea how much the visa in Hull will cost?

You do not have to go to Hull if your wife will provide a copy of her ID card and home register and you have something in a Thai bank account (100k would be best but likely would receive with less). KL will issue a multi entry non immigrant O visa on the basis, although good to have a short note from wife asking for visa to be issued. If relationship beyond that point Hull or Perth/Brisbane would likely be your best bet.

Be aware nobody takes care of anything when they are found out - you will be the person in jail and facing charges - not the "agency"

Thanks, I've just been on their website actually. Does a multiple entry mean I have to leave TL every 90 days? Sorry, if my questions are dumb, but this whole thing does my head in!

Thanks for the heads-up re 'agency'. I wish I could do some sort of other job tbh (not that I'm a bad teacher).

Yes, you will have to elave every 90 days.

It is a visa that is valid for 1 year and during that year you will have an unlimited number of entries into Thailand. Each entry will give you 90 days to stay. So if you leave and re-enter Thailand just before the visa expires you get a new 90 days and almost 15 months out of the visa.
