Hi Jetset. Yup that's pretty much what I did, uninstalled the latest version first then followed the instructions.

Vuze remembered all my torrents and settings even though I uninstalled first :)

I had no problems, but a mate did exactly the same and Vuze now comes up with a missing file problem (unclear as to which file as it was over the phone and he's a computer illiterate) but seems to work just fine.

Hi Crossy. I went for it last night and followed the instructions on TheBox to downgrade to Azureus 4.1.0.2. I didn't actually uninstall the latest version of Azureus first - so it seems optional to do that.

Having said that, if the uninstaller asks if you want to delete your settings as well as the program, you must definitely answer "no"!

The only problem I have seen is one that I used to get a long time ago which is an error report when Azureus starts: "Error loading plugin 'azupnpav' / 'com.aelitis.azureus.plugins.upnpmediaserver.UPnPMediaServer' com/aelitis/core/content/ blah blah blah"

I can't remember how I got rid of this before, but I'm sure it's not too hard - have tried Googling for it, but no solution found yet.

Remembered how to get rid of the error message: On the menu bar, click "Plugins / Uninstallation Wizard /", select "UPnP Media Server" and then "Next", etc. Job done.

NAT is green (= OK), and 6 of current 7 downloads are green. Woohoo! :)

Edit:

Just found this link on TheBox that describes how to install the version of the UPnP Media Server plugin that matches the version of Azureus you have installed:

http://thebox.bz/forums.php?action=viewtop...=p390858#390858

Just done it and all OK. (I'm using Azureus v4.1.0.2 and plugin v0.2.5)

I'm pretty sure that's the only way. I had to do it once (using Firefox and "Chatzilla") after they banned me for not uploading quickly enough. I got through on the IRC link and they told me to bugger off.

Signed up again and now I'm a good boy. :)

I'm just wondering if anyone else in Thailand is having problems with thebox.bz at the moment. It is still downloading things in my queue, but uploads seem to have stopped completely and any new torrents I add to download don't start at all and I get the message "thebox.bz: Error: Connection reset by peer" in the status window of my torrent client.

PS I'm using Deluge 1.19 on a system running Ubuntu 9.10

Yup, another thread running here http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Box-t338407.html

Since we don't really need two Box threads running, I'll close this one as the older thread.
